Over the last five years, Connect Yorkshire has helped a host of young, ambitious companies raise in excess of £14M of equity finance. Some hightlights include:
- Syntopix, a drug discovery company, who presented at our second Investment Forum in November 2002 floated on AIM in March 2006 raising £4M of additional funding.
- Proactis, a specialist in spend control software, who presented in June 2003 also floated on AIM raising £3.3M.
- WhizzGo raised a total of £440K from the Viking Fund and various business angels.
- Axordia, who presented at the White Rose Bioscience Forum in 2005 raised £420K from Biofusion and Myfotowall raised £300K from Partnership Investment Finance. Xactium raised equity of over £200K from the Viking Fund and angels, as did Medcom, who received £60K of second-round investment.
- Cizzle Biotechnology who presented in June 2005 secured £150K of funding from the White Rose Technology Seedcorn Fund tocontinue their development of a potential new diagnostic test and treatment for lung cancer.
- And CMM Technologies raised £150K of investment in double quick time after presenting at our Forum in November 2006.
